This week on the DMT 1-2-1 show a feature on the British Library’s Sound Archive featuring Alex Wilson (Curator of digital recordings), Adam Tovell (AV Scoping Analyst) and Andy Linehan (Curator of Popular Music). We chat about Keeping Tracks, an event organised by the department that has recently taken place at the Library, about the Library’s ongoing work in sound preservation, current studies, future plans and at the end we even get a tour of the studio facilities of the Sound Archive including an amazing play of a wax cylinder.
