Ep.65: atVenu helps you track all your merch sales on tour (DMT 1-2-1)

This week on the DMT 1-2-1 show an interview with Ben Brannen, the President of atVenu. The company is working hard to provide music industry professionals – whether artists, managers or tour managers – with an easy way to track merchandise sales whilst on the road thanks to an advanced ecosystem spanning across web and mobile apps.  atVenu has already processed $85 million worth of merch sales and has settled thousands of shows, the service is available internationally.

Merchandise can be a pretty unsexy part of the music industry but is proving to be very resilient and Ben does a great job explaining what the current challenges are and how his company is trying to solve them.

I really hope you enjoy the show, have a great week and ’till next time!

Ep.58: Neil Cocker, founder of DizzyJam (DMT 1-2-1)

Subscribe to DMT’s weekly newsletter on http://bit.ly/dmtlist

This week on the 1-2-1 show a feature on the company DizzyJam as I chat with founder Neil Cocker. Dizzyjam is a UK-based merchandise company that has taken a tech-forward approach enabling bands to sell goods that are printed on-demand with no upfront costs. The company also sports an API for easy integration with third party services.

We chat about the importance of merch, profit margins, printing technologies (screen printing vs. on-demand) and a lot more in what turned out to be a very informative episode.

Check out http://dizzyjam.com for more info on the company.

I really hope you enjoy the show, have a great week and ’till next time!
